VOLCANO TOURS A visit to either the Arenal Volcano or Miravalles Volcano involves traveling through the Guanacaste mountain range passing through local towns and villages. You will have the opportunity to to see an active volcano - lava, fiery stones and all not to mention the rain forrest and Lake Arenal. Your tour includes a visit to a resort where you can swim in the hot springs in the shadow of the volcano. Gear needed: swimsuit, towel, extra shirt, walking shoes, change of clothes and maybe a pillow.
SUNSET SAILING Sail to remote beaches where snorkeling is great. The trip provides open bar, food and snacks, snorkeling equipment, bilingual staff. Actually, we can even get you a full day sail. You pick your hours.
RINCON de la VIEJA ADVENTURE TOUR: Your tour guide will take you to a nearby ranch (1 hr.45min.ride) where your can experience a canopy tour that not only includes the forest but also the river canyon. After lunch you can go for a quick ride to the mud pots (by horse or by vehicle, your choice). There you will have the opportunity to experience the volcanic mud baths and swim in the natural thermal pools then wash off in the mountain river water. There is a terrific water slide available as well. Gear needed: swimsuit, walking shoes.
MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST
The world famous cloud forest presented by National Geographic is now open to the public. For more information about the forest, visit the official website. You will have the opportunity to hike up to the continental divide and observe the Gulf of Nicoya and the northern plains. Then there is the sky walk, hanging bridges, to give you a bird's eye view of the top of the rain forest canopy. The wildlife museums make it easy to see the wildlife of the area - frogs, snakes, butterflies, hummingbirds, and insects. The tour guides are bilingual and can point out the many nuances along the way. Lunch is included.
Zip Lines - Canopy Tours
A popular way to enjoy the beautiful Guanacaste forrests, zipping along the top of the canopy. Exhilarating and beautiful. The Staff will help you decide which tour would be the best for you. Canopy experiences range from Enjoyable to Extreme.
